Minutemen Take 1-1 Draw Against Holy Cross

Massachusetts (4-3-4) earned a 1-1 draw against Holy Cross (3-4-4) on Tuesday night.

Shane Velez netted the Minutemen's lone goal of the game in the 37^th minute, tabbing his third for the season.

Breaking Down the Action

The team opened the match with early pressure earning multiple corners and throw-ins in the opening minutes.
In the 28^th minute, Matt Cence fired a shot that was blocked by the Holy Cross defense.
Just two minutes later, Thomas Wadas attempt was also blocked.

Geczy made his second save of the night on a low right shot from Kyle Martell to keep the score even.
Ivan Vrh looked to give the Minutemen the lead but was saved by Holy Cross keeper, Alaistar Hafner Schnee.
A Velez header in the 84^th minute narrowly missed high for a chance to put the Minutemen ahead.
Off their eighth corner kick of the night, Aidan Kelly's attempt went wide ending the match in a draw.
