Men’s Cross Country’s Bobby Carew Named Atlantic 10 Performer of the Week

AMHERST, Mass. – University of Massachusetts graduate student Bobby Carew has been selected as the Atlantic 10 Cross Country Men's Performer of the Week, it was announced on Wednesday. It marks the second time a Minuteman has earned the recognition this season as Will Kenney was honored following the season-opening Ken O'Brien Minuteman Invitational.
Carew led the field to help UMass to victory in a field of 11 schools at the Ted Owen Invitational last Saturday at Stanley Quarter Park in New Britain, Connecticut. The Minutemen posted a score of 24 with its entire top five finishing in the top nine overall. Carew won the 8K with a time of 24:49, taking first out of 115 runners.
