Women's Cross Country Claims Top Spot At Ken O'Brien Minuteman Invitational

AMHERST, Mass. – University of Massachusetts women's cross country claimed six of the top-10 spots to win its own Ken O'Brien Minuteman Invitational on Saturday morning at the UMass Cross Country Course. UMass led the pack with a score of 23, followed by Northeastern (55), Central Connecticut (75) and Boston University (83).

The Minutewomen will be back in action on Saturday, Sept. 21, when the squad will head to the Ted Owens Invitational, hosted by Central Connecticut at Stanley Quarter Park in New Britain, Conn. at 11 a.m.
THE UMASS TOP-FIVE
- In her UMass debut, Klara Hansen led the Minutewomen in second overall with a time of 14:03.08.
- Eugenia Fairhurst followed in third, completing the 4K in 14:05.55.
- Sydney Adams was fourth out of 35 runners with a time of 14:23.79.
- Kaylie Dalgar placed fifth in 14:24.40.
- Anna McElhinney completed the scoring in ninth (14:41.53).
