Women's Cross Country Takes Third Place At The ECAC Championships

BRONX, N.Y. – Junior Lara Mannes Diaz De Cerio led the University of Massachusetts women's cross country team to a third-place finish at the ECAC Championships on Friday at Van Cortlandt Park. The Minutewomen posted a score of 143, with two runners finishing in the top-25 to earn All-East distinction.

THE UMASS WOMEN'S TOP-FIVE
- Mannes Diaz De Cerio crossed the finish first for the Minutewomen and 12th overall in the 6K with a time of 21:30.5, earning All-East honors.
- Junior Rylee Davis followed in 17th overall out of 234 runners in 21:41.6 and was named All-East.
- Junior Anna Todd placed third on the team and 26th overall (22:00.6).
- Senior Sydney Adams claimed 40th with a time of 22:19.0. 
- Sophomore Anna McElhinney rounded out UMass scoring in 48th (22:27.1). 

UP NEXT
The Minutewomen will return to action at the CCSU Mini Meet at Stanley Quarter Park in New Britain, Conn., on October 24.
