Krysta And Gaskins Named Student-Athletes Of The Week

AMHERST, Mass. – University of Massachusetts student-athletes Natalie Krysta of women's track and field and Godot Gaskins of men's track and field were named as the UMass Student-Athletes of the Week, presented by UMassFive College Credit Union. The duo will be recognized on Wednesday at the UMass Sports Luncheon at the Berkshire Dining Commons.
Sophomore thrower Natalie Krysta set the school record in the discus at the NEICAAA Championship on Saturday. The Bellingham, Massachusetts native also earned gold in the event with her throw of 157'7" which broke Lisa Wilson's record from 2009.
Godot Gaskins broke his own school record in the 400m at the Dani Palooza Last Chance meet on Sunday. Gaskins won the 400m with a time of 46.64, besting his previous record of 46.84 which he set at last year's UMass Commonwealth Invitational (4/15/23).
