Women’s Soccer Seeded Third In A-10 Championships

The Minutewomen host No.6 Loyola in the Quarterfinals on Saturday, November 2, at Rudd Field.
WASHINGTON, D.C. – University of Massachusetts women's soccer earned the No. 3-seed heading into the Atlantic 10 Championships, as announced by the league on Sunday evening. UMass concluded the regular season with an 11-4-3 overall record and a 6-2-2 conference record.
It marks the third time in program history that Massachusetts has been the No. 3 seed and the second time under the helm of head coach Jason Dowiak.
Massachusetts will face No. 6-seeded Loyola Chicago on Saturday, November 2, at 1 p.m., in Amherst, Massachusetts in the Quarterfinals. UMass will be hosting the opening round of the A-10 Championships for the seventh time, including for the second consecutive season after holding the Quarterfinals at Rudd Field last year.
The winner of Saturday's contes will move on to the Semifinals, taking on the winner of the No. 2 Dayton/No. 7 VCU matchup on Wednesday, November 6.
The A-10 Tournament will be an eight-team, single-elimination tournament with on-campus Quarterfinal and Semifinal action, and will finish with the Championship Final on Sunday, November 10. All games will be streamed on ESPN+.
Saint Louis secured the top spot, followed by Dayton in the No. 2 slot. After Massachusetts, Fordham claimed the fourth seed to round out the top four serving as hosts to its respective opponents. Saint Joseph's garnered the fifth seed, while VCU earned the seventh overall seed behind Loyola Chicago. Davidson took the final spot as the No.8-seed.
