Meet PrimerÂ
The UMass women's cross country team begins the season this Saturday, September 2, as the Minutewomen play host to AIC and Springfield College for the Ken O'Brien Minuteman Invitational. In last year's meet, the Minutewomen posted a perfect score against WPI as current junior Eugenia Fairhurst secured the individual win with a time of 18 minutes, 4.60 seconds on the 5K course. Head coach Christine Engel returns for her third year at the helm with a team highlighted by Fairhurst as well as fellow junior classmate Sydney Adams who was the number two scorer for UMass. To go along with 13 returners, UMass has added nine freshman and grad transfer Elise O'Leary from UConn.
