Men’s Basketball Travels To Puerto Rico July 28-August 2

The Minutemen will play three games during their six-day trip to San Juan, Puerto Rico.
AMHERST, Mass. – The University of Massachusetts men's basketball team heads to Puerto Rico for three games from July 28 to August 2 in San Juan. The Minutemen will play their first game on Saturday, July 29 with game two set for the following day before games conclude on Tuesday, August 1 with game three.
"In today's day and age with so many new players, the 10 practices have been great to help us understand each other," said head coach Frank Martin. "Being able to travel to Puerto Rico to bond as a team and continue to understand each other better, along with playing three games, is very valuable. We're looking forward to getting around an area that has been very good to UMass in the past with Edgar Padilla and his brother, who will both be around, along with different players that I've been fortunate to coach during my career. It'll be a great experience for our guys."
