Seven Rowers Named CRCA Scholar Athletes

Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association honors rowers for academic and athletic achievement
AMHERST, Mass. -- Seven University of Massachusetts rowers have been named 2023 Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association Scholar Athletes, including Nina Corwin, Bri Donahue, Katie Gatza, Livia Iwanicki, Alison Kolaga, Michelle Mulcahy and Hailey Warman, the association announced.Â
To qualify for CRCA Scholar Athlete honors, rowers must meet both academic and athletic requirements, such as being in at least their second year of eligibility and  maintaining an average cumulative GPA of 3.50 or higher.
Additionally, student-athletes must have rowed in their institution's NCAA or IRA (lightweight) eligible boats for a minimum of 75% of the current spring races or race in an NCAA Boat at their Conference Championship/NCAA Championship.Â
