Tosone Named A-10 Defensive Player Of The Week For A Fourth Time

Audra Tosone earned her fourth A-10 weekly honor for the season after tying her career-high with seven caused turnovers in a win over Duquesne.

AMHERST, Mass. – University of Massachusetts women's lacrosse senior Audra Tosone earned her fourth Atlantic 10 Defensive Player of the Week award as announced by the league on Monday afternoon. Tosone (Walpole, Mass.) tied her season and career-high with seven caused turnovers in a 17-5 win over Duquesne for no. 15-ranked UMass on Saturday.

Tosone also tied her season-high in ground balls with seven and helped anchor a UMass defense that caused 19 turnovers in the win over the Dukes. On the season, the senior ranks fourth nationally in caused turnovers per game at 2.54 and is 11^th among Division I leaders in ground balls per game with 3.23.

Tosone and the Minutewomen return to action this Saturday with a noon draw at VCU as part of two straight on the road and will be back home at Garber Field on Saturday, April 29 for Senior Day against George Mason.
