RJ Luis was named to the league’s all-rookie team after averaging 14.6 points and 5.4 rebounds per game in league play.

AMHERST, Mass. – Massachusetts freshman RJ Luis was named to the Atlantic 10 All-Rookie Team as announced by the league on Tuesday morning. Luis (Miami, Fla.) becomes the 13^th Minuteman to be named to the conference's all-rookie team and is the first since 2020.

Luis led UMass in total points in league play and reached double figures in scoring in 12-of-14 A-10 appearances this season. The guard scored a career-high 31 points in a home win over Duquesne and added 23 points twice against Richmond and at Duquesne. Luis ranked 16^th among A-10 scoring leaders in conference games with 14.6 points per game to go along with 5.4 rebounds per contest. On the year, Luis averaged 11.5 points per game on 46-percent from the field, 36-percent from 3-point range, and 79-percent from the free throw line.
