Tennis Prepares For Saturday Night Match At LIU

The Minutewomen take on the Sharks at 7 p.m., at SPORTIME Bethpage.
AMHERST, Mass. – University of Massachusetts tennis team heads to Long Island, New York, to match up with Long Island University at SPORTIME Bethpage. The match is set to begin at 7 p.m. on Saturday, April 1.
Last Time Out
Massachusetts went 2-0 last weekend, taking down Atlantic 10 rivals St. Bonaventure, 4-0, and Davidson, 7-0, at Bay Road Indoor Tennis Center. The matches marked the 14th and 15th straight victories at home, as the Minutewomen improved to 9-3 overall and 3-0 in the league.
Against St. Bonaventure, the Minutewomen quickly notched the doubles point to lead 1-0. UMass completed its clean sweep with wins at No.2, No. 1 and No. 3 singles to win its first A-10 match of the season.
UMass defeated Davidson, after picking up the doubles point to be ahead 1-0 in the match. The Minutewomen furthered their lead with a clean sweep in singles play.
Scouting LIU
The Sharks enter Saturday's contest with a 6-9 overall record and 2-0 record in the Northeast Conference (NEC). LIU is coming off a 4-3 loss to Presbyterian at home last Saturday.
Weekly Awards Sweep X2
After posting a 4-0 weekend, going 2-0 in both doubles and singles play, Senli was named the A-10 Rookie of the Week on February 7, before garnering the laurel on March 1 with a 3-1 overall performance, going 1-1 in doubles and 2-0 in singles.
Hack earned A-10 Performer of the Week on March 1, marking the first weekly award of her career. She went 4-0 overall, including 2-0 in both doubles and singles competition.
The duo swept the weekly honors again on March 28, as Hack earned A-10 Performer of the Week and Senli tabbed A-10 Rookie of the Week. It marked the second weekly accolade for Hack and third for Senli.
