AMHERST, Mass. - The University of Massachusetts men's basketball team opens a two-game road trip this week at Fordham on Wednesday evening. The Minutemen and Rams tip-off from Rose Hill Gym at 7 p.m. on ESPN+.

Series With Fordham
Wednesday's game at Fordham marks the 52nd all-time meeting between the two programs dating back to the first meeting in 1967-68. The Minutemen lead the all-time series 33-18 after last year's series split with UMass winning on its home floor behind T.J. Weeks' double-double with 17 points and 10 rebounds. A win would mark the first for UMass at Rose Hill Gym since a 65-46 win on Jan. 17, 2021.

Cross' Career Day
Matt Cross scored a career-high 28 points on 10-of-15 from the field on Saturday against Davidson in his first game back after being out since Jan. 25. The junior poured in 17 of his points in the first half and also went 7-of-8 from the free throw line.

Dishing It Out
Keon Thompson became the third different player in an Atlantic 10 game this season to post 12 or more assists as he hit the mark in the game against Davidson on Saturday. The freshman marked the 10-most assists in a game in the conference this season and most by a freshman.

Bench Boost
The Minutemen rank ninth nationally and lead the Atlantic 10 in bench points per game at 31.0 through 23 games. UMass has outscored its opponent's bench in 17 games and has been outscored just three times. Dyondre Dominguez leads the bench scoring attack with 9.3 points per game while Isaac Kante adds 7.0 per contest.

Crashing The Boards
UMass grabs the 14th-most offensive rebounds in the nation at 13.0 per game and ranks 39th in rebounds per game at 38.2. Matt Cross leads the team on the offensive glass with 2.7 offensive boards per game to rank inside the top-100 nationally.

Sharpshooting
Dyondre Dominguez ranks inside the top-10 in the Atlantic 10 in field goal percentage at 55-percent to rank seventh among league leaders. Matt Cross is 10th in the league in free throw percentage at just over 82-percent while RJ Luis ranks inside the top-20 at 75-percent.

Getting To The Line
UMass averages 20.5 free throw attempts per game to rank 61st nationally and fourth in the A-10. The Minutemen are tied for the league lead in free throws made in a single game with 30 against Duquesne on Jan. 28, led by a 17-of-18 performance from RJ Luis.

Road Trip Ahead
UMass plays its next three of four games on the road and will play back-to-back road games at Fordham and La Salle this week. The Minutemen break from road play with a matchup against new league member Loyola Chicago on Tuesday, Feb. 14 in the Mullins Center.
