Burbage Lauded Atlantic 10 Rookie Of The Week

Lindsay Burbage collects the first A-10 weekly honor of her career.
NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – Freshman Lindsay Burbage was named the women's swimming and diving Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Week, as announced by the league on Wednesday. The weekly accolade marks the first in Burbage's career.
The Charleston, South Carolina, native competed in two individual events and one relay, placing first in all three in the dual meet against Boston University last Saturday. Burbage took the gold in the 100 breaststroke with a time of 1:05.21 and had a first-place finish in the 200 breaststroke, recording a season-best time of 2:24.26. In the 200 medley relay, she helped her team swim a time of 1:43.68 to earn first.
Massachusetts will take a break next week, before jumping back into the pool for the Terrier Invitational in Boston, Massachusetts. The event will take place on Friday, November 17, through Sunday, November 19, with events beginning at 10 a.m.
