Massachusetts Tennis Closes Fall Slate At Big Green Invitational

HANOVER, N.H. – University of Massachusetts tennis concluded its fall season at the Big Green Invitational, hosted at Dartmouth College on Friday, November 3, through Sunday, November 5 at the Boss Tennis Center. The Minutewomen finished the weekend with four singles victories and a 2-6 doubles record.

In addition to UMass and Dartmouth, Rutgers and Yale also competed.

Of the four singles wins, Thamonpan Jonglertrakul earned two of them. Jonglertrakul triumphed over Minchae Kim of Rutgers 7-6, (3) 3-6, (10-7) on Friday. The junior then went on to defeat Dartmouth's Caroline Lemcke 6-4, 7-5 on the final day of competition.

In doubles play, the pairing of Danielle Hack and Ella Faessler topped Tara Chilton and Mai Nguyen of Rutgers, 6-4. The victory marks an undefeated fall season for the duo. Jonglertrakul and Amelia Tye rounded out play with a decisive 6-3 match over Dartmouth's Lemcke and Ameliijia Swaffer-Selff.

The Minutewomen are back in action for the 2024 season on Jan. 27 where they host Boston College in their home opener.
