AMHERST, Mass. - The No. 20 University of Massachusetts field hockey team will head to conference opponent La Salle to match up at 3 p.m. on Friday afternoon at DeVincent Field. The match will be streamed on ESPN+.

Last Time Out
The Minutewomen defeated the Columbia Lions this past Sunday by a score of 3 to 1. Three freshmen, Gabrielle Benkenstein, Mali Herberhold, and Paula Lorenzini, led the scoring on the day.

Scouting the Explorers
La Salle is 3-7 overall and 0-2 in conference play so far this season. The Explorers are led in goals (6), assists (3), and points (15) by Tatum Johnson. Goalkeeper Ryan Curley has started in and played the entirety of all ten of the Explorers' games this season. Curley has registered 48 saves and recorded one shutout.

Herberhold Earns Second Consecutive Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Week Accolade
Massachusetts Field Hockey's Mali Herberhold was named the Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Week by the league last Monday. This award is the third in Herberhold's collegiate career and the second in a row. Her five points in three games, including two assists against Boston University (9/19), one assist against Davidson (9/23), and one goal against Columbia (9/25).
