Meet Primer
UMass women's cross country begins its second season under head coach Christine Engel this Saturday, September 3, when the Minutewomen will travel to St. Albans, Vermont for the Vermont Invitational. The Minutewomen won the meet last season as current senior Sarah Conant led the way with a No. 2 overall finish. Sydney Adams, now a sophomore, placed 10th in her collegiate debut at this meet last fall. UMass' roster is comprised of seven returnees, one new addition from the track & field roster, one transfer and seven freshmen. Highlighting the group of returnees for the Minutewomen are Conant, a three-time Atlantic 10 All-Conference honoree, and Eugenia Fairhurst who was named to the A-10 All-Rookie Team last fall.
