Men’s Basketball Adds John Martin To Staff

Martin joins the staff as the Director of Scouting and Video Operations.
AMHERST, Mass. – Massachusetts basketball head coach Frank Martin announced the addition of John Martin to the staff as the Director of Scouting and Video Operations on Wednesday afternoon. John Martin comes to Amherst after working as a student manager under Frank Martin during his undergraduate studies at South Carolina.
"I'm excited to add John Martin as our Director of Scouting and Video Operations," said Frank Martin. "John is a wizard with modern technology and video. As my head manager at South Carolina, he also assisted our video department over the last three years. He is going to be a welcome addition and add tremendous value to our staff and players."
With the Gamecocks, Martin assisted the team's video coordinators with film and coding games and practices. Martin worked as an intern for the Princeton Men's Basketball team during high school, where he began to learn video breakdown. The Florham Park, N.J. native also interned with MADE Hoops, an AAU Tournament service as well.

Season ticket deposits are now being accepted for the 2022-23 season from new and returning season ticket holders. Fans who place deposits for new season tickets will be contacted to select their seat location prior to general public season tickets on sale date. Deposits are just $50 per-seat and are applied as a credit towards the total cost of 2022-23 UMass men's basketball season tickets.
