AMHERST, Mass. - The University of Massachusetts men's basketball team begins Atlantic 10 play on the road at Richmond on Wednesday at 7 p.m. on ESPN+. The Minutemen are scheduled to open league play against the Spiders after games against Saint Louis and at Fordham were postponed.

Atlantic 10 Opener
The Minutemen open the conference slate on the road for the third straight year Sunday against the Spiders. UMass is 1-1 in its last two A-10 openers away from the Mullins Center and picked up an 85-66 win at La Salle last season.

The Minutemen rank inside the top-13 nationally in both 3-point field goals per game (13th/10.8) and in 3-point field goal percentage (9th/.399) in addition to having the 26th most made shots from range. The long ball has helped UMass score 79.6 points per game to rank 39th in the country.
Protecting The Rock
UMass ranks third in the Atlantic 10 and inside the top-50 nationally in assist to turnover ratio at 1.32 and rank 32nd in fewest turnovers committed. Noah Fernandes leads the way with a 2.84 assist to turnover ratio to rank 28th in the country.

Rich Kelly surpassed 1,500 career points at Northeastern and is currently one of 22 active DI players to have 1,500+ career points and 350+ assists. Kelly ranks 29th in career assists, 32nd in 3-pointers made, and 51st in career points.
The Commonwealth Kid
Noah Fernandes leads the Minutemen in scoring and assists and has poured in 19.3 points and 8.8 assists per game in his last four appearances. The guard ranks 28th nationally in assists per game and 99th in total assists.
C.J. For Three
C.J. Kelly has been one of the most accurate shooters from range this season, ranking ninth nationally in the category at just over 49-percent.
