Miller Inks Deals With Pittsburgh Steelers

2019 football letterman joins NFL franchise as free agent signee
PITTSBURGH - University of Massachusetts football alumnus Jarvis Miller signed with the National Football League's (NFL) Pittsburgh Steelers franchise, as announced by the organization on Wednesday. Miller, who participated in the 2021 UMass Football Pro Day on Thurs., March 25, competed for UMass as a graduate transfer in 2019.
Miller becomes the fifthĀ active program alumnus in the NFL with his signing. He joins Andy Isabella (Arizona), Isaiah Rodgers (Indianapolis), Tajae Sharpe (Kansas City) and Elijah Wilkinson (Denver).
While at Massachusetts for the 2019 season, Miller played in 12 games, made 11 starts at linebacker and finished fourth on the team with 60 tackles. He also had 4.5 tackles for a loss, one sack and a quarterback hurry. Miller previously played theĀ 2016-18 seasons at Penn State and played in 33 games after he redshirt his freshman year. He finished with 23 tackles, two tackles for a loss, one sack, one pass defense and a fumble recovery. Miller, who wasn't drafted in 2020, finished his college career with 83 tackles, 6.5 tackles for a loss and two sacks.
