2026 Massachusetts Football Schedule Announced

The Minutemen open the season on Thursday, September 3 at Rutgers.
AMHERST, Mass. – In conjunction with the Mid-American Conference (MAC), Massachusetts football has released its complete 2026 schedule.
The Minutemen will open the 2026 season against Big Ten foe Rutgers on Thursday, September 3 at SHI Stadium in Piscataway, New Jersey.
UMass will then play host to non-conference opponents Sacred Heart on Saturday, September 12, and Stonehill on Saturday, September 19.
The MAC slate begins on Saturday, September 26, with a road game at new league member Sacramento State. The Minutemen welcome Eastern Michigan on Saturday, October 3 and Miami (OH) on Saturday, October 10 for back-to-back home games at McGuirk Alumni Stadium.
Massachusetts will visit Buffalo on Saturday, October 17, and then play at non-conference rival UConn on Saturday, October 24.
Conference play then continues with a home contest against Ball State on Wednesday, November 4, followed by a road game at Toledo on Wednesday, November 11.
The Minutemen close out their home schedule when Akron comes to Amherst on Wednesday, November 18. The regular season concludes for UMass on Saturday, November 28, at Bowling Green.
Game times and television coverage selections will be announced closer to game days.
Season ticket holders from the 2025 UMass Football season will soon receive renewal information for the upcoming season. Fans interested in becoming new season ticket members for 2026 can complete the interest form here.
The Minutemen will also host their annual Spring Game at noon on Saturday, April 25.
