AMHERST, Mass.
 – Massachusetts football held its annual spring game on Saturday afternoon at McGuirk Alumni Stadium.   

Gameday Notes 

  • Former Minuteman and current Minnesota Vikings defensive back, Isaiah Rodgers, served as the honorary captain for the game and met with the team prior to the start of the game. 
  • The team played a pair of live, 15-minute running time quarters of offense versus defense while mixing in several other segments.  
  • Prior to the live segment, there was a moment of silence in honor of Emma MacDonald, a dedicated member of the UMass Dining staff and a beloved member of the UMass community. 
  • Transfer quarterback and Pop Watson III ran for a touchdown on the game's first drive.  
  • Other highlights included two Raheim Sexil interceptions, and a long touchdown pass from Will Perry to Kezion Dia-Johnson. 
  • Justin Williams-Thomas and RJ Johnson III TD also rushed for touchdowns. 
  • More than 100 alumni and families returned for the weekend, highlighted by a well-attended pregame dinner the night before to support the program leading into the spring game.
  • Former head coach/assistant coach Jim Reid was also in attendance. Reid was the UMass head coach from 1986-91, leading the Minutemen to Yankee Conference championships in 1986, 1988 and 1990, and also served various assistant coaching roles for the Minutemen over 51 years of coaching. 

Season Tickets   

  • Season ticket holders from the 2025 UMass Football season must renew their season tickets by May 1 for the upcoming season.  
  • Fans interested in becoming new season ticket members for 2026 can complete the interest form here.
