AMHERST, Mass. - The University of Massachusetts men's basketball team heads to Fort Worth, Texas for a Saturday afternoon matchup against North Texas as part of the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame Classic. The Minutemen tip-off against the Mean Green from Dickies Arena at 4:30 p.m. ET on FloSports.

1500 And Counting
Rich Kelly eclipsed the 1,500 career point mark on Tuesday at Northeastern and currently sits with 1,513 career points. The graduate guard is one of 47 active Division I players with 1,500 or more career points. Kelly has averaged 13.2 points over his career and has amassed 483 assists and 252 3-pointers made.

Fernandes On Fire
Noah Fernandes has been filling up the stat sheet as of late and finished with 24 points, four rebounds and seven assists on the road at Northeastern after posting 24 points with seven boards and nine assists in the game prior against Harvard. The guard has scored 20 or more points in four of his last six appearances and is averaging 19.5 points and 6.2 assists per game and it shooting over 51-percent during the span.

High Powered Offense
The Minutemen rank sixth nationally in 3-point field goals made and rank inside the top eight in both 3-point field goal percentage and 3-point field goals made per game. UMass' 82.1 points per game ranks 32nd in the country and second in the Atlantic 10. The Minutemen have also gotten to the line at a high rate, ranking 15th nationally in free throw attempts and 19th in free throws made.

From Range
UMass has made double-digit 3-pointers in eight of its 10 games this season and has knocked down at least 13 shots from beyond the arc in six of those contests. The Minutemen put in a program record 17 3-pointers in the overtime win over UNC Greensboro and made 16 in the win over Rutgers. UMass is shooting just over 41-percent from deep as a team on 120-of-290.

The Minutemen have had back-to-back games with two scorers finishing with 20 or more points. Noah Fernandes and T.J. Weeks Jr. scored 24 and 21 respectively in the win over Harvard while Fernandes added 24 on the road at Northeastern with Rich Kelly adding a game and season-high 25.

C.J. For Three
C.J. Kelly ranks eighth in the country in 3-point field goal percentage at 53.1-percent and has made the 52nd-most shots from range on the season. Kelly came into the week as the nation's fifth-most accurate 3-point shooter.
