Tennis Concludes Fall Slate With Big Green Invite

Three-day competition saw Minutewomen win seven singles matches, including four over Rutgers.
HANOVER, N.H. – University of Massachusetts tennis completed its fall season at the Big Green Invite, hosted by Dartmouth College on Friday, November 5, through Sunday, November 7, at the Thompson Outdoor Courts, finishing the weekend with doubles record of 2-5 and a singles record of 7-7.
In addition to UMass and Dartmouth, Rutgers University and Yale were also in attendance.
"Overall, a good weekend," said head coach Juancarlos Nunez. "We played three very good teams that we will see in the spring, so it was good preparation. We competed well all around and got better this weekend. I'm very happy with the way we finished today and competed."
Freshman Renata Farima and sophomore Mariya Krasakova led the Minutewomen in the event by each posting a 2-1 record in singles matches over the three days.
In doubles competition, the pair of freshman Thamonpan Jonglertrakul and Krasakova, and the duo of sophomore Danielle Hack and graduate student Vitoria Okuyama notched the two wins for Massachusetts. Jonglertrakul, Hack and Okuyama also added one singles win apiece.
