Four Minutewomen Set To Compete At ECAC Championships This Weekend

Fresh off capturing an Atlantic 10 Championship last weekend, several of the Minutewomen's medal winners will be headed to the ECAC Championships this weekend at Boston University.

Senior Jada Harris claimed two of UMass' five gold medals at the A-10 Championships, winning high jump with a leap of 5 feet, 8 inches, and once again matching the meet record with the top time in the 60 meter hurdles final at 8.45 seconds. That brought her total to three medals for the meet, including a silver in long jump on Saturday to earn her Most Outstanding Field Performer recognition. Senior Samantha Thompson picked up a medal in high jump, as well, clearing 5 feet, 7 inches. The duo will be vying for ECAC medals in high jump this weekend.

Senior Emilie Cowan ran 1 minute, 13.18 seconds to her fourth career A-10 title in 500m last Sunday and will race the 500 at ECACs this Saturday, looking to advance to Sunday's final.

In 200m, senior Lindsay Witt won her first career A-10 title, clocking in at 24.72 seconds, while Cowan took fourth in 25.04 seconds. Witt also broke her own school record with a new PR of 7.65 seconds in 60 meter dash at A-10's and will be running the 200m this weekend at ECACs.
