Minutemen Washed Out at Rhode Island in Series Finale

Game called in bottom of fourth inning due to rain
KINGSTON, R.I. – University of Massachusetts baseball's game at Rhode Island on Sunday has been washed out due to ongoing rain. The contest began at an earlier-scheduled start time of 11:30 a.m., but a rain delay began at 1:04 p.m. with URI leading 5-0 in the fourth inning. The game will not be resumed.
As the game did not reach the official minimum of five innings, it is ruled a no contest, statistics do not count and win-loss records are unchanged.
Massachusetts now returns to the home confines of Earl Lorden Field for its final four regular season home games, beginning the stretch with a Tues., May 14 game against Fairfield. First pitch is scheduled for 2 p.m.
