Lasko Tabbed Atlantic 10 Pitcher of the Week

Senior right-hander dealt a complete game shutout at Navy on March 2
NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – University of Massachusetts senior right-handed pitcher Justin Lasko has been named the Atlantic 10 Pitcher of the Week for the period ending Sun., March 3. The league office made the announcement Monday afternoon.
Lasko was outstanding in a complete game shutout at Navy on Sat., March 2, marking the second such performance of Lasko's career after previously accomplishing the feat against Fordham in May 2017. On Saturday, the right-hander scattered five hits and struck out eight Midshipmen, three short of a career-high and lowering his ERA to 0.61. His outing capped a terrific doubleheader on the part of the UMass pitching staff, as Minuteman arms worked a total of 20 innings without surrendering a run.
Massachusetts is currently preparing for a three-game series in Edinburg, Texas at UT Rio Grande Valley from March 8-10. First pitch in the Fri., March 8 series opener is scheduled for 8 p.m. Eastern Time.
