UMass Tennis Ends Competition At ITA Northeast Regionals, Brown Quad

Minutewomen conclude fall slate at Big Green Invite from Fri., Nov. 3 - Sun., Nov. 5
WEST POINT, N.Y. and PROVIDENCE, R.I. - University of Massachusetts tennis concluded its stays at the ITA Northeast Regional Championships in West Point, New York, and the Brown Quad in Providence, Rhode Island, with seven Minutewomen in action across the two events on Sunday.
No. 9-16 seeded Janja Kovacevic and Martina Bocchi ended their doubles run at the ITA Northeast Regional Championships with a main draw third round loss to Penn's No. 3-4 seeded duo of Iulia Bryzgalova and Marija Curnic, 8-5.
At the Brown Quad, three Minutewomen participated in singles matches in Ashley Avery, Jovana Bogicevic and Jasmin Tripathy, and squared off with opposition from Dartmouth College and Brown. However, the trio was unable to claim victory against their respective oppositions.
Avery and Tripathy formed one doubles pairing and performed in the "A" doubles bracket. Bogicevic also competed in doubles play alongside Sarah Mezini, while Tami Comins lined up alongside Gabriella Dellacono from Brown in the "B" bracket. Bogicevic and Mezini were able to down Comins and Dellacono in the third round of doubles for a 6-1 win.
Massachusetts concludes its fall slate with a trip to the Big Green Invitational at Dartmouth College from Fri., Nov. 1 through Sun., Nov. 3.
