Minutewomen Conclude Weekend At Bulldog Invitational

NEW HAVEN, Conn. - University of Massachusetts tennis concluded three days of competition at the Bulldog Invitational with Sunday's match against Boston University. Ruth Crawford and Anna Napadiy won at No. 3 doubles while Ashley Avery, Jasmin Tripathy and Jodie Lawrence-Taylor took home victory during singles play.

Lawrence-Taylor posted a 6-1, 6-4 outcome over Remi Ramos at No. 3 singles while Tripathy and Avery collected their wins at No. 7 and No. 8, respectively. Tripathy did so by an 8-6 margin over Clara Falxa while Avery downed Lily O'Fagan 8-6.

Massachusetts nearly seized a pair of wins at No. 4 and No. 5 singles. Martina Bocchi (No. 4) and Napadiy (No. 5) dropped their initial sets before each rallied and forced a decisive third set. However, Bocchi fell 6-3, 2-6, 6-3 to Katya Martens while Napadiy dropped her match 6-4, 2-6, 6-4 to Dani Blaser.

Crawford and Napadiy earned an emphatic win over Faybyshev and Falxa at No. 3 doubles when the Maroon and White duo secured a 6-1 outcome.
