Stat of the Week
Massachusetts is currently riding a 14-game winning streak against La Salle en route to leading the all-time series by a 22-1 margin. That run began on Oct. 10, 2004 with a 3-2 decision at Garber Field as Adrianne Monaco scored twice to complement 10 saves from Christine Tocco. The contest was ultimately decided on penalty strokes, ending when Jamie Bawden converted the fifth attempt for the Maroon and White.

Commonwealth Connections
Fans of UMass field hockey will recognize a familiar face on Sunday as Saint Joseph's assistant coach Hannah Prince is in her second season on the Hawks sideline. Prince, a native of Gorham, Maine, played at UMass from 2010-13 during which the squad reached three NCAA Tournaments including an Elite Eight during her senior year in 2013.

We're Just Getting Started
Despite the eventual losing outcomes, freshman goalkeeper Johanna von dem Borne turned in 13-save outings against Michigan (Aug. 31) and UConn (Sept. 7). The last time a UMass freshman had at least 13 saves in a single match was in the 2012 season, when Sam Carlino did so at Maryland (Sept. 8; 15) and in the NCAA Tournament against Syracuse (Nov. 10; 13).

Alumnae Weekend Scheduled for September 29-30
All former Minutewomen, their families and friends of UMass field hockey are invited to reconnect in Amherst on Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 29-30. A host of events, including an alumnae game, barbecue and in-game halftime recognition (Sept. 30) are on the docket for all in attendance. Next Up
The Minutewomen will enjoy a full weekend on the home pitch from Sept. 28-30 as Davidson and Providence, respectively, visit the Gladchuk Field Hockey Complex. Start time against Davidson is slated for 3 p.m. before the pair of contests wraps up at 1 p.m. against Providence.
