Field Hockey’s Alumnae Weekend Set For September 29-30

All former Minutewomen, their families and program friends invited to reconnect
AMHERST, Mass. – University of Massachusetts field hockey announced on Wednesday that the program will host its Fall 2018 Alumnae Weekend on Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 29-30. All former Minutewomen, their families and friends of the program are invited to reconnect over a full weekend of events.
Alumnae and others interested in attending are asked to register by clicking here.
Festivities begin on Sat., Sept. 29 with coffee and bagels at the Gladchuk Field Hockey Complex at 10 a.m. while the current UMass squad holds practice. After the morning session, an alumnae game will be held at 11:30 a.m. followed by a 1 p.m. barbecue with the Minutewomen. The day's events will then turn to the Hangar Pub and Grill at 4 p.m. for a social.
On Sun., Sept. 30 the Minutewomen host Providence at Gladchuk in a 1 p.m. match. A special recognition will be held at halftime recognizing all alumnae in attendance, in addition to commemorating anniversaries of the 1983, 1988, 1993, 1998, 2008 and 2013 UMass squads that each appeared in the NCAA Tournament. Included in that group is the 1983 team that reached the Final Four as well as the Minutewomen of 1993 and 2013 that advanced to the Elite Eight.
