Five Minutemen Recognized As AHCA All American Scholars

The honorees attained at least a 3.6 grade point average in each semester in 2017-18 and played in 40% or more of the Minutemen's games.

AMHERST, Mass. –Five University of Massachusetts hockey student athletes have been recognized by the American Hockey Coaches Association (AHCA) for their work in the classroom, earning the title of Krampade All American Scholars, the ACHA announced on Friday. Forwards Oliver Chau, Jake Gaudet, Niko Hildenbrand and Jack Suter and goaltender Ryan Wischow represented the Minutemen on the list of 271 Division I men's hockey student-athletes.
 
To earn the honor, each player must have attained a 3.6 grade-point average or higher each semester during the 2017-18 academic year and participated in at least 40% of their school's games.
