Witt Tabbed A-10 Women’s Track Performer Of The Week

The sophomore won two events at the Minuteman Invitational last Saturday.
AMHERST, Mass. – University of Massachusetts women's track and field sophomore Lindsay Witt has been named the Atlantic 10 Women's Track Performer of the Week, the conference office announced on Tuesday. Witt Helped the Minutewomen to a first place team finish in the Minuteman Invitational last Saturday, the squad's outdoor season opener.
Witt ran 12.01 seconds to first in the 100 meter dash, which was good for third all-time in program history. She also won the 200 meter dash in 25.30 seconds as her times in both events were New England qualifiers.
The Minutewomen will be back in action this Friday and Saturday, Apr. 13-14, when the squad will travel to the Ocean State Meet in Providence, Rhode Island.
