March 05, 2017 | Women's Track & Field
BOSTON – Sophomore Emilie Cowan and redshirt senior Kelsey Crawford broke their own school records on the final day of the ECAC Championships at the Boston University Track and Tennis Center on Sunday. The Minutewomen finished 18th in the team scoring with 17 points out of 44 squads.
Cowan raced to a silver medal in 500m with a time of 1:10.84, besting her previous program record of 1:11.70, set at the 2017 Atlantic 10 Championships.
Crawford claimed fourth in shot put with a toss of 47 feet, 9.5 inches to improve upon her previous record of 47 feet, 8 inches from last week's New England Championships.
The Minutewomen will be back in action with the start of the outdoor season on April 1 at the CCSU Invitational.
