AMHERST, Mass. – Alumni, fans and supporters of UMass basketball have two opportunities to invest in the program. A Men's Basketball Excellence Fund is active and season ticket deposits are being taken. Monday, April 3 starts three weeks to Answer The McCall.
As we look to the future of the Massachusetts men's basketball program, now is the time for us to unite our alumni, friends and family in support of new head coach Matt McCall and our student-athletes. Giving is centralized through a Men's Basketball Excellence Fund. Donations of $250 or more will receive an invitation to an exclusive May meet-and-greet featuring Coach McCall.
Deposits for and new purchases of season tickets can be taken for the cost of $50 per ticket: https://oss.ticketmaster.com/aps/umass/EN/buy/details/17MBBDEP?camefrom=CFC_UMASS_PR_B17DEP.
Season ticket holders will have the opportunity to lock in their 2016-17 seat location for next year or secure additional seats. Deposits and new purchases will have first right to available seating on June 8 when renewals formally launch. Fans can put down their deposits via phone, online or in-person at the Mullins Center Box Office. The deposit amount will be deducted from the total cost of 2017-18 season tickets.
The campaign begins April 3 and runs through April 21. With a 3:30 p.m. Friday deadline each week, prize winners will be announced at 4:30 p.m.
Fans who lock in their deposits over the next three weeks, and by 3:30 p.m. on April 21, receive the benefit of renewing at the same early bird price from the 2016-17 season and will not be subject to the new 2017-18 season ticket pricing (effective June 8).
On Friday of each week, five prizes will be awarded randomly to fans who made deposits during the week. Those who made deposits prior to April 3 or who put down deposits by 3:30 p.m. on Friday, April 7 are eligible to win any prize from all three weeks.
Week One Prizes:
- Two (2) of season tickets upgraded to courtside for the 2017-18 season
- Official UMass Athletics sweatshirt
- Official UMass Athletics jacket
- $100 Big Y gift card
- Trip for two (2) on the team charter and travel accommodations for a 2017-8 road game
Week Two Prizes:
- Official UMass Athletics polo shirt
- Coach McCall signed basketball
- $100 Arizona Pizza gift card
- Foursome at annual Court Club golf outing
-Invitation to a closed practice at the beginning of the 2017-18 season
Week Three Prizes:
- Game-worn jersey
- Two (2) all-session passes for 2017-18 Atlantic 10 Tournament
- Lot 67 parking pass for 2017-18 season
- $100 Arizona Pizza gift card
- Dinner with Coach McCall and Director of Athletics Ryan Bamford
