165 Student-Athletes Named to Atlantic 10 Honor Roll

AMHERST, Mass. – University of Massachusetts Athletics saw 165 of its student-athletes named to the Atlantic 10 Fall Commissioner's Honor Roll, it was announced by the league last week.
 
A record number of 1,759 A-10 student-athletes were selected for the Commissioner's Honor Roll, recognizing those who earned a 3.5 GPA or higher during the semester. The league also set a record with average honorees per school at 125.6.
 
The 1,759 is the highest number of student-athletes that have qualified for the award since 2007 when the lists were regularly compiled. The total surpassed the 1,698 set during the 2016 spring semester. It marks the third-straight semester student-athletes from the league's 14 member institutions have bested the previous high-water mark.
 
Fordham had the most honorees with 166, followed by Massachusetts with 165 and George Mason with 145 student-athletes. Duquesne and Saint Louis tied for fourth most with 131.
