Massachusetts Athletics Posts 3.51 Fall Semester GPA

The department now boasts a cumulative GPA of 3.47

AMHERST, Mass. — Massachusetts Athletics continues to excel in the classroom, posting another strong academic semester during the Fall 2025 term, highlighted by an overall department GPA of 3.508 and a cumulative GPA of 3.474. It marked the highest department-wide GPA since pre-covid.

All 19 programs (indoor and outdoor track teams counted together) recorded a term GPA above 3.0, and each team also maintained a cumulative GPA above 3.0, underscoring a department-wide commitment to academic success.

At the individual level, 92 student-athletes earned a perfect 4.0 GPA, while 355 student-athletes recorded a GPA of 3.5 or higher.

Overall, 486 of 589 student-athletes achieved a GPA of 3.0 or better, further highlighting the dedication of UMass student-athletes to balancing competitive excellence with academic achievement.
