UMass Athletics To Offer Veteran’s Day Military Appreciation Tickets

Current and former military personnel eligible for two free tickets to each of UMass’ hockey and women’s and men’s basketball home games on Nov. 9 and 10.
AMHERST, Mass. – University of Massachusetts Athletics, in honor of Veteran's Day, is pleased to announce a Military Appreciation ticket promotion for all current and former military personnel. For UMass hockey's game vs. Providence on Thurs., Nov. 9 and the women's-men's basketball doubleheader on Fri., Nov. 10, all active duty and retired military personnel and veterans are eligible for two free tickets to the three contests.
Starting on Oct. 10, the free tickets will be available at the Mullins Center box office and available by presenting any military or veteran ID both in advance or on the respective game days. Current and former military personnel may also purchase additional tickets at UMass' group rate of $8 for hockey, $2 for women's basketball and $11 for men's basketball.
On Nov. 9 and 10, a limited number of concessions food vouchers will also be available to current and former military personnel attending those three games, available for pick up inside the Mullins Center concourse. The concessions food vouchers are being made available through generous donations from UMass Auxiliary Services, Holyoke and Springfield VA, and UMass Athletics. There will also be a variety of giveaways available inside the Mullins Center including camo hats and army green t-shirts, while veterans service organizations will be tabling at all three games, as well.
An additional way for UMass fans to support our veterans is to make a donation to UMass Athletics for tickets that will be distributed to groups throughout Massachusetts. The contribution to UMass Athletics is 100% tax deductible and will allow our service members to attend the football game at Fenway Park on Saturday, November 11. Donations can be made in increments of $150 (will provide 10 tickets). To make a contribution, please contact the Minutemen Club Office at 413-545-4290. You can also make a donation online, and include Veterans' Fenway Tickets in the special gift instructions box.

At all UMass Athletic events from Nov. 9-11 fans can expect to see formal recognitions, patriotic elements, and in-game enhancements.
