Men's Swimming Falls to Army, 188-110

Divers highlight meet with sweep of one-meter, three-meter boards.
AMHERST, Mass. - Trent Kindvall won the one-meter dive and Nolan Burns won the three-meter dive to highlight the UMass men's swimming and diving performances in a 188-110 loss to Army on Friday night in Rogers Pool. The pair led an event sweep for each diving event as the Minutemen placed 1-through-3 in both.
Prior to the dual meet, Burns and fellow senior Robert Barry along with women's senior Julia Jagannath were honored in a special Senior Day ceremony for the divers.
In addition to his win on the one-meter board, Kindvall also placed second on the three-meter board, while Burns placed second on the one-meter board. Reece Donahue took third in both events.
Owen Wright and Oliver Wyeth led the swimmers. Wright placed 2nd in the 50 free and third in the 100 free, while Wyeth placed third in the 200 free and second in the 200 back.
Harry Ortof (1,000 free), Kyle Stefanides (100 back), Al Madden (100 breast) and Ben Sloan (200 fly) also had strong meets with third place finishes each. Kellen Gray took second in the 100 back to round out UMass' top performers.
