Rowing Alumni Find Success During Summer Competition

AMHERST, Mass. - University of Massachusetts rowing alumni Elizabeth Euiler and Laura Hutchinson earned success competing during the Summer 2015. Euiler, a 2011 graduate, and Hutchinson, who finished in 2006, took part in races in New Jersey, Ohio and Canada and represented the Minutewomen on the medal podium.

Euiler placed third in the Senior Women's Lightweight 4x and Senior Women's Lightweight 2x for a pair of bronzes at the Canadian Henley Regatta. Additionally, the 2011 Atlantic 10 First Team All-Conference honoree placed first in the Senior Women's Lightweight 4+ at Club Nationals in Bethel, Ohio, second in the Women's Senior Lightweight 1x and fifth in the Women's Senior 1x.

Hutchinson raced to a silver medal in the Women's Open AA-A 4x Final with Riverfront Recapture at the Masters Nationals in Camden, New Jersey. A local resident who lives in Hadley, Mass., Hutchinson continued her education alongside competition in rowing following her undergraduate days and earned her doctorate in 2008.
