UMass Baseball's Adie Earns All-New England Honors

AMHERST, Mass. - UMass baseball redshirt senior Kyle Adie has been named to the NEIBA Division I All-New England Third Team, the New England Intercollegiate Baseball Association announced on Wednesday. The award marks the first career honor for the center fielder, who is the fourth Minuteman in the past five seasons to receive All-New England recognition.
Adie enjoyed a career year in his final collegiate campaign as he started all 43 games for UMass and hit a team-best .322 with 55 hits in 171 at bats. He led the Minutemen in hits, runs scored (25), triples (3) and walks (17), while also contributing eight doubles, one home run and 18 RBI. He boasted a team-high .421 slugging percentage and a .388 on base percentage as well. The lefty reached base in 39 of 43 games on the year and had at least a hit in 34 of 43 contests, logging 14 multi-hit efforts.
In Atlantic 10 play, Adie paced UMass with a .367 (36-for-98) average and registered five doubles, two triples, one home run, 14 RBI and 16 runs scored.
