PRINCETON, NJ - The UMass Men's track and field squad celebrated success at the second day of the IC4A Championship in Princeton, N.J., Saturday saw the conclusion of the men's decathlon and several Minutemen competed in prelims. Highlights of the day's proceedings included Kris Horn's Silver and school record in the decathlon and UMass' 4x800 meter squad's first place-finish in prelims which earned third all-time in the program record book.

The decathlon concluded Saturday with Horn taking second place with 6,681 points, moving up two spots after ending day one in fourth and breaking his own UMass school record. Teammate Nick Ingham was 10th with 6,123 points.

The Minutemen's 4x800 meter relay team took first in prelims of the event to qualify for finals Sunday. Russell Wells, Michael McNaughton, Andrew Burke, and Cory Thomas together ran 7 minutes, 30.20-seconds to set the third all-time mark in UMass history. Benjamin Groleau qualified for finals in the preliminary round of the 1,500 meter run as he placed fifth at 3 minutes, 49.53-seconds.

Tomorrow marks the final day of the IC4A Championship in Princeton, N.J. Start time is slated for 10:00 a.m.
