Delario Earns NFHCA All-America Following Stellar Junior Season

2015 NFHCA Division I All-Americans
CHANDLER, Ariz. - University of Massachusetts field hockey junior Izzie Delario secured National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) All-America Third Team, as announce by the NFHCA Monday. It marked the first all-America honor for Delario and continued a string of awards for the forward, as Delario also took home NFHCA All-Northeast Region Second Team, Atlantic 10 All-Conference First Team and Atlantic 10 All-Tournament Team in 2015.
Delario led all Minutewomen with 26 points via seven goals and a team-best 12 assists as Massachusetts won the Atlantic 10 Conference Tournament and advanced to the NCAA Tournament for the third time in head coach Carla Tagliente's five seasons. She provided 14 of those points (five goals, four assists) during the final eight games of the season immediately following a two-week absence due to surgery.
Her most clutch points came during the NCAA Tournament Play-In Round Game against Kent State, when Delario recorded the lone goal of the contest unassisted to vault Massachusetts into the NCAA First Round. Despite missing four games, Delario finished tied for 15th in the nation for assists, which increased to tied for ninth for assists per game.
