UMass Posts Solid First Day At Dartmouth Invitational Friday

Dartmouth Invitational Results (through 10 events)
WHITE RIVER JUNCTION, Vt. - The Massachusetts women's swimming team claimed a relay win and eight top-10 finishes in three individual events after the first session at the Dartmouth Invitational at the Upper Valley Aquatic Center Friday night.
The group of Zoe Judd, Cassie Sosnovich, Ivy Durepo and Jocelyn Yuen was first to the wall in 1:38.07, 6-tenths ahead of Northeastern and almost a second ahead of Dartmouth.
Yuen and Meriza Werenski were the top two Minutewomen finishers in the 200 Individual Medley, touching second and third, respectively.
Sosnovich (3rd), Judd (4th) and Durepo (6th) earned big points in the 50 Free with their strong swims.
UMass' two 400 Medley Relay teams recorded a second and third place showing in the final race of the night.
The meet is being scored in a dual format, meaning UMass trails Northeastern 50-41, but leads Dartmouth 53-38 and Connecticut College 72-19.
Saturday's action will get underway at 10 a.m. with the second session of the meet. The invitational will conclude with the third session at 2 p.m.
