Softball Announces 2014 Fall Schedule, Alumni Weekend Activities

UMass Softball has announced it's fall schedule for 2014, including the updated schedule for the annual Alumni Weekend. The Minutewomen will play a six-game exhibition schedule, with four games taking place at Sortino Field. The fall slate concludes with the Alumni Weekend - featuring the golf tournament on Saturday, Oct. 11,, along with the Alumni Game and Banquet on Sunday, Oct. 12.
The Minutewomen will kick off the fall schedule on Saturday, Sept. 20 when they host UMass-Lowell, coached by UMass great Danielle Henderson. A week later, Boston College comes to Amherst for a Sept. 28 contest. The following weekend, UMass will play host to Dartmouth in a doubleheader on Oct. 4 before traveling to Sacred for a pair the next day.
ALUMNAE WEEKEND
Alumni Weekend begins on Saturday, Oct. 11 with the Annual Golf Scramble at Hickory Ridge Golf Club in Amherst. The 9:30 a.m. shotgun start, captain-and-crew (scramble), event costs $125 per person and gets you 18 holes of golf, cart, dinner, snacks, gifts, prizes and a tax donation. To participate in the golf outing, fill out the Golf Scramble Entry Form and return it to the softball office at the address below.
The weekend continues on Sunday, Oct. 12 with the Annual Alumni Game is set to begin at 11 a.m. at Sortino Field. All UMass softball alums are encouraged to take part and the event will be open to the public.
That evening will be the 2014 Banquet. Head Coach Kristi Stefanoni, her staff and friends of the program will use the event as a chance to celebrate and honor the 2014 senior class of Paige Hansen, Tiffany Meeks, Maggie Quealy and Lindsey Webster.
The banquet will be held in the Marriott Room in the Campus Center. Cocktails begin at 4:30 p.m. and the dinner will be served at 5:00 p.m. Tickets to the banquet are $35 per person and reservations can be made by returning the Banquet RSVP Form to:
