Bigelow Named To A-10 Academic All-Conference Team

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. - The Atlantic 10 Conference recently announced its 2014 Outdoor Academic All-Conference Team consisting of 10 student athlete's who epitomize what it means to be a student athlete. Senor co-captain, Stephen Bigelow was voted to this year's list of honorees for excellence and achievement on the track and in the classroom.
Bigelow received his third Academic All-Conference nod and his second consecutive honor. The Winchester, Mass., native has a 3.72 GPA as a marketing major and earned his first two All-Conference performances in his final season as a Minuteman.
At this year's outdoor A-10 Championship, Bigelow finished second in a close race with Anthony Williams of George Mason in front of a home crowd at the UMass Track and Field Complex. He completed the 110 meter hurdles in 14.44-seconds. The time was just .05-seconds away from the first place finisher. In the indoor conference meet, Bigelow fought for a second place finish in the 60 meter hurdles with a time of 8.10-seconds.
