 Game Notes

• UMass returns home for the final game of the 2014 season, playing host to St. Bonaventure at Rudd Field on Saturday at 1 p.m.
• The Minutemen will honor seniors Matt Keys and Josh Schwartz prior to the contest.

ABOUT UMASS
• UMass is 2-14-1 following a pair of road losses last week at UNC Asheville and Davidson. The Minutemen are 1-5-1 in league play and in 12th place with 4 points.
• UMass is averaging 11.5 shots per game and putting nearly half of those attempts on goal (48%). Senior Josh Schwartz leads with team with 12 points on a team-high 4 goals and 4 assists. He also has the one of the two game-winners of the year. Junior Mark Morris has a strong right foot with three scores, while sophomore Luke Pavone provides a midfield threat who has a goal and 3 assists.

ABOUT ST. BONAVENTURE
• St. Bonaventure enters today's season final with a 1-14 overall mark and is in 13th place in the Atlantic 10 standings with an 0-7 mark and zero points. The Bonnies are on a 9-game losing streak and are 0-7 away from home.
• The Bonnies have scored just one goal in league play. That occured last weekend when Bonaventure Akinlosotu gave SBU a 1-0 lead against Saint Joseph's before the Hawks came back for a 2-1 win.

SERIES HISTORY
• UMass and St. Bonaventure are pitted against each other for the 23rd time in series history. UMass holds a commanding lead, having a 17-4-1 record against the Bonnies and has won six of the last eight in Amherst.

SCHWARTZ NAMED TO ACADEMIC ALL-DISTRICT TEAM
• Massachusetts senior forward Josh Schwartz was named to the Capital One Academic All-District 1 Team, as announced by the College Sports Information Directors of America. Schwartz was one of three forwards chosen in the district, which includes nominees from all six New England states and New York. He will now advance onto the Division I national team ballot, with first-, second- and third-team All-America honorees announced later this month.
• To be eligible, students have to carry a 3.30 cumulative grade point average, be an important starter or reserve who has competed in at least 50 percent of that season's games and spent at least one calendar year at their current institution. The Annapolis, Md. product was an All-District honoree all three seasons of eligibility and was chosen to the Academic All-America Second Team last year.
• He carries a 3.95 grade point average in biology/pre-med. He leads the team in points (12), goals (4), assists (4), shots on goal (16) and game-winning goals (1). Schwartz has not made below an A-minus in college with four-consecutive 4.0 semesters. He was also named Academic-All Conference in 2013..
