BOSTON - The Massachusetts women's swimming and diving team won six events in a dual meet at Boston University but was unable to secure the team victory, falling 174.5-120.5 at the BU Competition Pool Saturday.

Multiple winners for the Minutewomen were sophomore Meriza Werenski in the 200 breaststroke and 400 individual medley and junior Mikhaila Eckhardt in both diving events.

Werenski remained perfect in five individual races on the season with times of 2:24.01 in the 200 breast and 4:29.51 in the 400 IM. All five wins have been in five different events.

Eckhardt was equally as strong, outscoring a group of nine divers in the 1-meter by 23 points and claiming the 3-meter for the second-consecutive meet. That sparked a top four sweep in each event for the UMass divers.

Katie Arnott touched first in the 100 breaststroke and the group of Zoe Judd, Hayley Masi, Cassie Sosnovich and Jocelyn Yuen won the 200 free relay to account for the other victories for UMass on the day.

The Minutewomen will travel to Binghamton next Friday for the start of a two-day meet with the Bearcats.
