Boathouse Construction Update (Sept. 5)

HADLEY, Mass. - The finishing touches are being put on the UMass Rowing Boathouse as the University of Massachusetts prepares to host an opening ceremony for the structure on Sunday, Sept. 8. The interior was being painted while the last of the siding was being secured in place on Thursday.

Shelving to store boats has been bolted to each side of the structure and will allow the squad to make the most of its open floor space on the main level. Painting has been completed within the team rooms located at the back of the facility as well as on the second level.
