HADLEY, Mass. - The UMass Rowing Boathouse nears completion as construction crews begin the detailing work needed to finish the structure. Current projects include the framing of all of the interior doors and painting the walls of each of the team rooms. Members of the building team are simultaneously working on the first and second levels while the boathouse's opening ceremony is only two weeks away.

The boathouse will be surrounded by a flat, clean asphalt surface to provide ample parking for the team. The current focus of construction includes the continued work on the team areas, with the walls taking on new, vivid colors as the painting crews work toward a completed product. Other structurally-based projects, such as the door frames and ceilings are being taken on simultaneously.

An updated look at the boathouse can be found through a photo gallery here.
